Cami's Tri-Fold Card

Beate from SCS does another short video on how to make a
Cami's Tri-Fold card.... (she'll tell you how it got it's name in the video).

Watch the YouTube video: Cami's Tri-Fold Card.

This is the cute card Beate made in the video...
I hope you like it, too.

In the short video, Beate just explains the basic information on how to make the card base, so she covers only what is relevant to the project. The items she uses to decorate with are all pre-made to save time. Of course you can decorate yours however you like! :)

Telescoping Card

Create an expanding card with three or more layered cardstock shapes - circles, squares, spellbinder labels, even animal body part shapes!

Beate from SCS shows how to do this in a very short video.
Watch the video on YouTube by clicking HERE.

A telescoping card looks like the following sample:

Herringbone Patterned Background

Beate from SCS has made a video to show how to make a herringbone design on background paper. I'll have to remember to run the base cardstock through the Xyron. Looks like the easiest way to do the adhesive!

DIY - Make Any Size Envelope

Beate, from SCS, shows how to make your own matching envelopes for your cards! After watching this video, I've determined that 12x12 paper can make an envelope for cards up to 5x10 in size.... now that's an odd size, but you might want to make a tall skinny card or a long narrow one!

Watch how easy this is: HERE

Faux-Letterpress Embossing

Ink your embossing folder, before running the cardstock through the machine, for a rich, faux-letterpress look. This is also an easy technique brought to us by Beate from SCS....

Just be careful not to move your cardstock once down
on the ink, or it will smear!

Easy Watercolor Backgrounds

Use water-based markers and a piece of acetate to create a watercolor wash background. This technique is so easy, that after taking the time to say what products/companies she's using, Beate from SCS, still shows the complete technique.... ALL in under 2 minutes!

Embossed Kisses

This stamping technique is almost exactly like the Stamp Kissing technique, only instead of using 2 stamps, you use a stamp and an embossing folder. Beate from SCS shows us how really simple this is:

Salted Background

Sprinkle rock salt on inked background for a speckled look.... different coarseness will make different sized splotches and speckles. I wonder if regular table salt would do the same thing...hmmm!

This video is from SplitcoastStampers. Beate shows how to do this easy technique on glossy cardstock.

Let me know if you give it a try or have done it before. I would like to see your creations!

Petal Card

Another type of card is called the Petal Card. Beate from Splitcoast Stampers shows how easy it is to make these cards. She uses a beaded circle, but a classic circle or a scalloped circle can be used as well.... and I think I actually would like the scalloped one better! JMHO!

She does not specify the exact size of the beaded-circle she used, but it looked like about a 4-1/2" diameter one to me. What do you think?

Another Gel Card!

In this short video from Splitcoast Stampers, Beate shows another
"version" of a gel card... just some slight differences from Tresa's
gel card - shown here.

One difference is that this one has the image in 'water' - aka gel - on
paper behind the opening, instead of on the inside of the card. The
whole gel part is then attached to the front of the card base using
pop-up dots to accommodate the depth of the gel pack!

So now I have a couple choices on how to make these gel cards!
It just depends on what I want the inside of the card to look like!
Enjoy the tutorial:

Embedded Embossed Image

Beate from Split Coast Stampers shows us this embossing technique. Embedded images
work well with silhouette-type stamps, of which I have a few! (But of course it is not
limited to just those types of stamps.)

Pretty cool! Below is a sample done on patterned paper:
