Scallop Borders with Mayberry WOTG Stamp Set

Make a color-matching scalloped border for cards or layouts, using a 'pear' stamp and a 1.25" circle punch! I couldn't believe this!...... I so DO NOT think outside that box!!! LOL!

Treat Box from One Piece of Paper!

Splitcoaststampers shows us another cute little treat box! This one is made from only one sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Really sweet!

The Bargello Technique!

Create a unique background out of patterned paper strips!

This tutorial from Splitcoaststampers shows us how to show off our own patterned paper to the full, using the Bargello technique. With CTMH's Level 2 paper packs, the job of trying to figure out "what paper looks good with what?" is already done for us.! This technique is shown on a card in this short video, but it could also be done as an embellishment on a scrapbook page. Imagine the possibilties with all of CTMH's coordinated B&T's...... Pretty, pretty!

Faux Suede Technique (used on a card)

This short video by Kristina Baldwin, shows us how to do the Faux Suede technique.... really, really super-duper easy! Her card she uses it on, is cute too, but I would use a different stamp set, since I don't do "lucky" things. She also shows how to distress paper edges with scissors to get that roughed-up look.  Besides making a card using this technique, I think it would look great on a masculine layout in similiar colors, but could also be done in more feminine colors for us cowgirls!

Fun Fold Card

Kristina Baldwin shows how to make a fun-fold card with a cute little closure in this tutorial! I just love new ideas (at least new to me!) for cards. And EVERYBODY that I know, loves receiving handmade cards!

Acrylic Block Backgrounds!

In this video tutorial by Lisa Stenz, she shows us a cool stamping technique using the actual acrylic block that clear acrylic stamps cling to! She makes a very sweet and simple card using this technique. Enjoy!

Accordian Flower Rosettes

This tutorial by Lisa Stenz is great! She shows us just how easy these flowers are to make and gives us tips along the way.

Tips:
1) like making multiples using the Martha Stewart Score Board (which I have, yeah!)
2) how a "quick-drying" glue works well in making the rosette stay put!
3) that the length and width of paper strips, plus the increments of your score lines,
determine the size of the flower rosette

As you watch, note:
1) the "mountain" and "valley" folds of the accordian, and how those need to be facing
when glueing strips together (because you may need to cut off one scored section to
     have them fit together properly)
2) why having your "backside" circle base piece ready to go is essential!
3) which way the paper is facing for your "face-up" side to show (Lisa does this
OPPOSITE of everyone else I've seen and it looks SO MUCH EASIER!)

I love this! Thanks so much, Lisa!

Super Easy Accordian Flowers using 2 scalloped circles

These scalloped flowers are 'easy, peasy' as Mandy Leahy says! Cute accordian flowers that really are super simple to make. Instead of using the normal paper strips, Mandy uses 2 scalloped circles she has punched out....
what could be simpler than that?

Since the flower's finished size will depend on the diameter of the punch used, that means that I'll have to buy more sizes of scalloped circle punches! LOL! (like I need an excuse!) But for now, since I only have a 2" size, I'll have to make due. In the meantime, if I want another size of flower, I'll just have to use the paper strip method - those will end
up twice the width of my strip.

P.S. ---- Just a final note --- these do not have as many pleats as the ones made with paper strips, so they have a 'softer' look!

Paper Carnations with Leaves

Here she goes again! Mandy Leahy's a whiz with a 2" scalloped circle punch! These pretty carnations are 8 layers of inked, scalloped circle punched paper, and are adorable! So easy to make, but beware.... your fingers will get messy!

Waterfall Card

This waterfall card is a masculine one. Sarah Zhong shows how easy it is, using the CTMH Lucky paper pack and coordinating Outdoor Denim Mini Medley embellishment pack. It has the normal 4 panels, but slightly different measurements than most I've seen. Thanks Sarah!

Waxy Flax Spirals

Connie MacFarlane shows us a cool way to make spiral curlies that actually stay put! It's waxy flax "enhanced"...

Connie.... you ROCK!!

Layered Organdy Ribbon Flowers

In this 2-parter, Connie MacFarlane from Paper Pleats and Ribbon Roses shows how to make these beautiful, layered organdy flowers. They require just a minimal amount of hand-stitching to gather them into a spiral which makes the layers!

Easy Paper Flowers

These adorable little 3D paper flowers are so easy to make. Connie MacFarlane shows us how to make them. You just need 5 paper flowers - all the same - with an even number of petals on them and you're good to go!

Another Waterfall Card

This is another version of a waterfall card. It comes from Christina of Card Making Magic. Although this is obviously a video that is NOT made in the US - because they're using centimeters instead of inches - I wanted to save it to show the 'landscape' version,
the 5 panels instead of 4, and the decorative pulls.

Super Simple Paper Flowers

Mandy Leahy makes these easy flowers with 4 scalloped circle punched pieces of cardstock. These are more "open" than the 8-layered carnation. Since they don't have as many layers, a beautiful centerpiece will show in the middle! Use a large brad, a gem, a button.... just about anything will work!

Dry Embossing with CUTTLEBUG (& sanding cardstock!) - by Mandy Leahy

I want to keep this video to remind me how to arrange the layers of blocks, embossing folder, and paper to run through the Cuttlebug, because I can never remember the order!! And of course she sands the embossed paper to show the white core (for a distressed look).
